I had an ongoing problem with skyrim and installing mods through it, and, although I can't promise this will help you, this fixed my issue. I saw multiple times that the problem was caused by people not having enough disk space, although almost without fail the person would reply that they had hundreds of gigabytes free in the install location. The thing is, the problem is not about a lack of space in the install location, it's about a lack of space on your system drive (C/). If you are installing to a D/ drive or past, then you must have the same amount of space on your C/ drive free to function as temporary storage while sevenzip decompresses and moves it. Why they call this an error rather than a lack of space is beyond me. Good luck all :)
